Theater Projects
I have been involved in theater since my freshmen year of high school. I have a minor in theater, acted in 5 plays, and directed two plays.
Why do I love directing?
Directing and watching actors grow and learn to embody their character is what makes theater a passion of mine. Being able to have a hand in the writing, casting, costuming, staging, and everything in between makes watching the show come together opening night an hour of pure pride and awe.
Shakespeare Showcase
In the spring of 2023, I was the assistant director for the Shakespeare Showcase. For this show I wrote the script and directed practices. The object of the show was to create a play that truly immersed and interacted with the audience, was engaging, and made reading Shakespeare seem approachable. It's A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play
I was Assistant Director of It's A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play in the winter of 2021. I have attached below my director's notebook from the show, including the introduction written by me. The program and posters were designed by my other assistant director and I. Click on the poster to be redirected to the director's notebook. It has my notes from practices, the PR plan, scene mapping, costume inspiration, and other small details.
Will and Whimsy
In the spring of 2022, I acted in Will and Whimsy, a play of 5 minute shorts based on Shakespeare's sonnets. In this play, I was in the short of the bonbon fight. The short required a training in stage fighting.
